Star Journals

Intro to Mindiful®-ness: Lesson 5

An introduction to journaling and introspection.

Lesson Video Coming Soon!

Children submit daily journal entries in, "My First Journal." This can be a place for kids to set aside time and identify it as a calming place for reflection, introspection, and acknowledging their experiences. E.g. how they feel, their reactions to the day, letting their thoughts flow, etc. The journal logs a drawn entry with journal prompt, audio recording, and record of emotion that day. E.g. Happy, Sad, etc.

TOTAL LESSON DURATION: 15-20 Min.

Lesson Video Runtime: 15 Min.

Discussion & Wrap-up: 5 Min.

Awareness of Introspection & Reflection Strategy

  • Learning Objectives: To observe and participate in what journaling is and acquire access to tools to begin to explore the idea of introspection and reflection.

  • Goal: Students will gain a better understanding of what journaling is and observe the connections to identifying emotions and feelings.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Journals/Analytics are only stored locally on the device and only the users and adults/caregivers have the access to the recording of data, drawings, etc. For more information please visit mindiful.io/about and mindiful.io/faq
