Awareness of the Mind-Body Connection
-
Learning Objectives: To be able to learn to stretch as a calming tool. To be able to identify healthy and simple movements. The students will be able to understand how stretching can ease the physical body and uplift one’s mood.
-
Goal: To introduce how stretching can be a tool for calm and well-being, as well as observe and practice different methods of stretch and movement.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please remember to remind children to simply do their best when copying the sloth's moves. They DO NOT have to copy the sloth exactly!
We all move differently and it's important to accommodate and celebrate everyone. Modifications are welcome!
